Day 22 – 21st May 2010

Got a 9.30am London meeting today, so am doing a 6.30am swim with the early boys. Got a feeling I’m gonna be the slow Joe again!

Very calm sea, but very foggy indeed, very! We couldn’t see more than a few yards ahead. We had to hug the pier to follow it around. We stopped at the end of the pier to chat, which was really nice; three really nice guys. Everyone at the Arches are so friendly, a real family. The atmosphere in the fog made it feel like an episode of Scoobydoo doo! It took 13 minutes to get to the end and then 11 minutes to get back. We all swam at the same pace, which was really good and quite surprising for me, 24 minutes, including a quick chat; that’s the ticket.

Fiona and Angus are swimming to the Marina and back today. She reckons 2 hours!! Wow that’s a swim; can’t believe I’ll get that far this year.

I’m in the pool tonight with Shep at Falmer, so 2 swims today. We did an hour at Falmer from 7.30 pm- 8.30 pm. It was a group session, about 12 people. Lots of different swimming techniques and swam well over 50 lengths. I did ok, but wished I had eaten something! Got home after 9.30, so ended up not eating today apart from an apple in London at about 11am.
