Consistency in the weather; is this really England? Another day almost exactly like yesterday. 15 degrees in the air, 11.2 degrees in the sea and the same swim as yesterday in terms of company and routine; "exceedingly nice swim" as Mr Kipling might have said if he had swum rather than baked.
Afterwards, with a little time to spare, I had a perfect coffee with LB and Dr Sean at the Roaster and then it was a very leisurely drive to Reading for a meeting with a client of some 19 years standing – very unusual in business to have a client that many years; we must be doing something right I guess. Now back at home, 3.00pm, and of course I should head to the office, but with 27 degrees and a very blue sky it simply has to be my chance to grab a couple of hours in the garden with a good book before the kids and the wife get home – surely being the boss has to have some perks!
