Swimming day 511 - Tuesday 3rd July 2012


35 days to go (weather permitting)
Yesterday exercise – I ended up doing four sessions yesterday; (1) sea swim 6.30am (2) Gym session with trainer 1.00pm (3) Home gym session 8.00pm (4) Pool swim 9.00pm. 
Yesterday food/Drink – (1) Strong coffee 8.30am (2) Cheap sausage roll 11.30am (3) Pot noodle 12.30 (4) Noodles, Chicken & Veg 10.15pm (5) Xmas pudding and custard 10.45pm
Lots of exercise and basically rubbih eating (although the Xmas pudding was nice!). I wonder why I was tired this morning
Today – Changed to the pool this morning for a change; nice to get the pool done early on in the week. Bob and I were in the outside pool by 6.45am and it was relatively warm in the air, but raining constantly.  The thing about “swimming in the rain”  (almost an idea for a musical!) is that you’re wet anyway.  It sounds so much worse than it actually is, it’s actually quite pleasant as long as the wind is still, which today it was.  We did the same routine as last week, including the ¼ mile leg kicking (lots of cramp on that one). 
After work at 5pm I’m down at the beach for a swim.  I was planning a 2 hr swim, but the temperature and the conditions are still not great, so I will aim for an hour.  I am possibly being joined by some of my relay team as we talked about it for today or for Thursday and I’m not sure who, if anyone, is coming.  Then tomorrow morning back in the sea and Bob wants us to do an hour as well.  Will I be achy by the weekend; I should coco!
